I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) serving clients in person in Kelowna, BC, Canada and surrounding areas, and across the globe via Skype. My commitment is to provide a safe, genuine, empathetic, therapeutic environment, where you are honored, and feel empowered to explore your emotional world. Collaboratively, we will determine therapy goals, and implement techniques and strategies which will promote positive effective change. I work with individuals, couples, and families. I use an integrative approach, and draw from the most effective therapeutic modalities, which are then tailored to fit your needs. I have extensive knowledge in the field of trauma (attachment, physical, emotional, sexual, narcissistic abuse) and related conditions such as: depression, anxiety, self-harm, low self-esteem, co-dependency and relational challenges. I have obtained post graduate specialty training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing ( EMDR). EMDR is a highly effective form of therapy, endorsed by both the American Psychological Association and World Health Organization for the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). EMDR can also effectively treat depression, anxiety, specific phobia, and complicated grief. I have additional post graduate specialty training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). EFT is an empirically based approach designed to help individuals accept, regulate, understand, and make sense of the emotions of one's experiences.
